Kids Left On School Buses

Many innocent little kids are being stranded on a buses. And this is not uncommon. Edwin Rivera is left alone on a school bus on New Year’s Eve. He was found 17hours later. A 4 year old girl with special needs is left behind twice in a 10 month span.  “You’d think that now we’ve got it to the point where everybody understands how important this is,” New Jersey State Senate says. Bus workers are suspended or they are fired over the incidents. Many school systems are cracking down themselves to stop this problem.

I’ve often wondered how this happens so often. Seems like it would be a simple thing for busdrivers to walk to the back of the bus and check all the seats before locking the bus for the night. Thanks for writing about it!
