My Inaugural Speech
My fellow citizens:
I am honored to be hear talking to you today and taking on the responsibility of becoming your president. Many things have been going on in our world; including the war, healthcare, and the economy. These indicators are what we should be focusing on in the New Year. These issues are real and a serious matter. They are as real as they ever will be. I feel that we should take hold of these problems and deal with them to the best of our abilities.
The time has come for us to make a better nation. “The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, and that noble idea.” (Obama, Inauguration Speech) To become this better nation that we stride for we need to grab hold of the opportunities that we have. To weaken all of the issues that is faces today. There are so many things to do but in so little time.
For everywhere you go there are things to be done. The state of the country commands action, for people to take risks. This is how we, has people, will expand our nations boundaries. To learn about the things around us and to be risk takers at things we do. And this will not be easy. They will need to be earned.
This journey we continue today. But we will start anew to change America has we see it today. Everyone who seeks a new future will lead our country to great things. But to the people that seek terror, know that you can not break us, we will defeat you. And just remember these words, “The world has change and we shall change with it.”(Obama, Inauguration Speech)
